Ethos

Low food miles are an inevitable part of using locally produced food. But we aim to reduce the company's impact on the environment in other ways too. We do this by using recycled and/or recyclable packaging, by keeping our waste to a minimum and reusing whatever we can, by using low energy equipment and low emissions vehicles, and by composting our food waste for use on local gardens/allotments.

Over recent years there has been a widespread loss of cooking skills and understanding of basic food preparation in the home. We want to address this in a small way by offering lessons in cooking techniques and by inspiring lots of enthusiasm for this vital (and fun) life skill.

We endeavour to provide good conditions of employment for all our staff. Respect for staff and customers is a two way process that guides our company's policies.

As a way of giving something back to the community, the company supports Alzheimers Scotland through donations and fundraising initiatives.
